Rules and Expectations:

 1. Act Responsibly
 2. Respect self, others and property
 3. Tackle tasks always

If the above rules are followed, there will be no problems in the classroom.
All other rules from the student handbook are to be followed, also.

Appropriate behavior is expected at all times.

Procedures for correcting irresponsible and inappropriate behavior:

 1.  Verbal reminder in class.
 2.  Verbal reminder after class or immediately outside the door.
 3.  On the third incident after school detention will be served.
 4.  Missed detention results in disciplinary referral.
 5.  Extreme cases may require the student and parents to meet with the teacher
      and/or principal.

Procedures for acknowledging responsible behavior:

 1.  Verbal compliment
 2.  Note to student and/or parents
 3.  Nomination for “Student of the Month”

Monitoring:

 1.  Teacher observation
 2.  Written record in daily log
 3.  Grading as set in the course outline

Teaching Responsibilities:

 1.  Complete discussion of rules the first week of classes.
 2.  Handout rules and course outline.
 3.  Posting of rules in the room.
